
Doug Briney is nominated for Best Male Artist. This is his first Nashville Universe Award nomination. Other nominees, in various categories, include Florida Georgia Line, Josey Milner, Trailer Choir, Western Avenue, Doc Holiday, LoCash Cowboys, Whiskey And Cigarettes Radio Show, MTS Management Group and Sony Records.
“We’re very excited that the entertainment committee selected Doug to perform,” said Michael Stover, Doug’s manager. “It’s a great opportunity to have Doug showcasing the talents that have earned him these accolades. Having him join Amy Rose among the performers is really special for us at MTS It’s going to be an incredible night.”
Doug Briney is a Nashville resident and regularly organizes and performs shows at the Uncommon Grounds in Old Hickory. He has also performed at Dan McGuinness’ on Music Row, South, the Opryland Mall, the Silver Dollar Saloon and many other local venues.
Doug is signed with Tate Music Group, who released his current album, Super Country Cowboy in November. The album reached #58 on the itunes Inspirational chart. His first release,It’s All Country reached #11 on the itunes New Country Release chart and spent 8 months on the roots music charts.
The Nashville Universe Awards are presented by Nashville Universe, a community of people that believe, “A few can make a difference, and that all of us together, are Nashville Universe. Nashville Universe says a lot about you and that you are part of the Nashville community and that you have a road to Music Row.” Winners of last year’s awards include Florida Georgia Line, Kellie Lynne and Flynnville Train.
